When we decided to buy a home here in Georgia, we started to do research on different websites, and study different blogs, especially the ones titled “First-time home buyers...” But everything made the home-buying process look like a tedious one and we were a little scared (?). Then a friend of ours referred his real estate agent who helped him to buy his wonderful home. It’s Gary.
Gary was so prompt in arranging a get-to-know meeting. We were totally impressed the first day we met him. He explained the whole process of home buying. We asked a lot of “First time home buyers” questions; he answered so patiently, however silly the question may be! We felt confident enough to move forward in the home-buying process with Gary alongside as our real estate agent. The best thing about Gary, he effortlessly exceeded our expectations as we traveled through.
He set up an account for us in Listingbook, which has all resources in one place to research the house, its location, schools, neighborhood, etc. We will browse the houses listed for sale and give the shortlisted list to Gary for scheduling. He will reply back promptly with the schedule of the house tour. We have seen several houses and Gary was so patient showing all the homes. No Pressure, always smiling is his best charm. After the tour of every home, Gary will ask for feedback on the home and when we ask for his feedback, he will give us pretty straight feedback but did not push us towards any decisions. The honest feedback from Gary meant a lot to us, so we know we are on the correct path to choosing the right home. Gary’s professional knowledge and experience helped us make an informed decision, though we are buying a home for the first time.
The moment we finalized our home, Gary was so quick in preparing the offer docs and he was on top of all the paper works, home inspection, and contingency clause… to make sure that we get that home with no issues. He used to send us reminders about important dates, call us, and keep us informed of every stage we are in. Till we signed the closing paper works, Gary was so keen in making sure no surprises at the last minute.

This being our first house hunt/purchase, we really didn’t know what to expect when we began the process. We tried our best to read first-time home buyer books and did an insane amount of research on the internet. We stumbled upon Gary on Angie’s List and were very impressed with his ratings/feedback.
We had been looking on Trulia for months and had a good idea of what we were looking for, so when we sat down with Gary and he explained that we had the house hunt in our hands, we knew he was right for us. We thought all realtors picked the houses to view and this made us nervous. Being able to browse the FMLS/List Book websites and select the houses that fit our family was easy, time-saving, and exactly our style. Gary set up all of the showings and was completely honest at every single one. He always arrived early to drive around the neighborhoods and walk through the houses before we checked it all out.
He advised us when he saw potential issues with a house and guided us through the entire negotiation process when we finally found the house of our dreams! He was meticulous with reminder emails; letting us know about upcoming appointments, things to be done, and tips for the first-time buyer. He even came with recommended lenders and home insurance companies, which was amazing because we did not have a great experience with these two home-buying aspects until we called his guys!
We think the thing that shocked us the most is all of the above-and-beyond things Gary did once we found our home! He had a few issues with the seller’s agent, so he took extra steps to ensure that nothing possible would delay our closing…even driving out to the house a couple of days before closing to make certain it was in sound condition after the tenants left. We signed the agreement for purchase on February 2, 2013, and the home was ours on February 28, 2013!
Honestly, we made the right choice when we chose Gary as our realtor. It truly says something when you enter your home for the first time once the ink has dried on the purchase papers and your 2-year-old son says “Where’s Gary?”. He is a great realtor, but even more than that, a stand-up guy.
We strongly recommend Gary Mesnick as a Realtor if you are looking for someone to be honest and not try to sell you on the wrong house! He’ll let you run the show, but give you all of the advice you may need to select the perfect home.

I have heard numerous nightmare stories about home buying from my friends, I was thinking all those were true until I met Gary. In fact everyone in my family including my 3-year-old love Gary. His exemplary service and professionalism are one of the greatest positives. During our home search, we went through several listings, shortlisted quite a few from them, and would give the list to Gary for showing. Without asking any questions Gary will schedule all the showings and will confirm us within hours. We were surprised how he is able to do this so quickly. Also, he is always smiling irrespective of how bad/good we choose a house for showing. We went to a lot of showings and always his words would be - There is nothing right or wrong everything is an experience in your home buying and be happy that you are learning new things. That was a big optimistic statement that kept us going throughout our home search.
I had a unique employment situation that posed a challenge to get financing. We submitted an offer for a home and when everything was going well I heard that my loan is rejected. Gary was with us all through this time providing us with additional lender contacts. In fact, one of Gary's contacts helped us in our lending and we were able to get financing for the second home that we submitted an offer. Thank you

Gary Mesnick took care of all aspects of selling my house to meet my desired timeline. Gary Mesnick is a Superb Real Estate Agent, with many years of experience. A friend highly recommended him to me when I mentioned, in casual conversation, that I wanted to hire a good "Seller's Real Estate Agent." I had a target month by which I wanted to sell my house so that I could relocate to another State during the late summer months. Had I known that Gary would provide a huge amount of advice and assistance to me before we entered into a contract, I would have called him 2 months before the time I first contacted him. On our first meeting, he presented a notebook Powerpoint presentation of current real estate market statistics, advice, and his services and marketing strategy. He answered all questions and left a "Pre-Sale Package" designed for my needs (a portfolio of his marketing action plan, his steps for selling a house quickly, and a Cancellation Guarantee).
First of all, I was advised to make sure that my house was, or would be, in tip-top condition and that all major systems were in excellent condition. That took a good bit of time on my part. Next, we had professionals inspect the house and provide a fair market price estimate. Then, Gary and I signed a contract for his services to sell the house. When my house was Listed, a Buyer offered a contract bid within 4 days! After 6 days, I signed a Binding Contract to sell the house. What an amazing thing, to see how well the house "showed" to potential buyers (according to other real estate agents) and how fast the house went under contract. My house sale was Closed a couple of weeks before the target date that I discussed with Gary!
My friend has employed Gary at different times as a Buyer's Agent, and as a Seller's Agent, and the friend has always been very happy with Gary's services. From my perspective, Gary is an excellent "Seller's Agent" and negotiator.

We are from Michigan and due to work reasons, we were relocating to Atlanta. We lived in a condo in Michigan, so this is our first single-family home purchase. Without knowing a lot of folks in Atlanta, we researched Angie’s list and narrowed down 3 real estate agents, Gary Mesnick being one of them. Of all 3 agents, Gary was very prompt in getting back to us. And he gave a lot of references from his previous clients and got us set up within a day on the ListingBook site, so we started getting the listings right away. The rest of the agents were not responsive or late or when they did call back, seem to have their own agenda/interest, instead of understanding what we were looking. Gary on the contrary, gave some good feedback, and got us set up to get listings so fast, so we decided to not even talk to ANY other agents.
We short-listed 8-10 houses to visit and informed Gary that we will visit Atlanta during the Memorial weekend. Being a long weekend, we were worried about Gary’s availability and the sellers’ availability. But Gary cleared his calendar up and dedicated 1 and ½ days completely for us.
When we met first Gary in our hotel the first day, he spent an hour or so explaining his background and gave us some good info on home buyer “gotchas”. In this interaction, Gary was very informative and not at all pushy. His wealth of experience and his passion for this Real estate business was very evident. He was very particular that everyone should win, in any type of interaction or business.
Then when we went and saw the houses, he would let us look through it and form our own opinion and ask for feedback. Then he gave his insightful and fact-based feedback about the house, we learned a lot from Gary. And when we finalized the house we want to put down the offer, Gary provided comps and gave his professional opinion on our offer price.
And during the offer/contingency/acceptance period, Gary was on top of getting the papers to me for signature and was ALWAYS available for questions. Even when the seller’s agent was not on top of things, Gary made up for that also. When we were worried about one issue in this house, Gary went above and beyond to get some professional opinion from a siding company and also gave his feedback too. When we came to Atlanta for closing, Gary extended his availability to pick us up from the airport or hotel and made sure everything went smoothly.
And after we moved in, he called us after 2-3 days to check if everything is ok. Even now (a month after closing), if we have questions about house maintenance, I call Gary and he still has the same level of promptness and courtesy.
And Gary gave us the list of lenders to choose from and he had good references for other services as well.
My wife and I are thankful to Gary for helping us buy this house and we feel, we have a good friend who we can call upon for any other challenges that might come up in owning this house.
We strongly recommend Gary to any home buyer or seller, you will not get anyone who is even close to Gary. Satisfaction, Friendly approach, Strong industry knowledge, and Courteousness are what you will experience if you chose Gary Mesnick!!

I have had the pleasure of working with Gary recently on a house I bought in Alpharetta. Although I did not know him before our venture, he was outstanding in his service and made me feel very comfortable with the whole process from looking for a house to closing and after. He put me under no pressure at all from the very beginning to buy or close any house. In fact, Gary used all his experience to not follow through on some of the houses because of the conditions they were in.
He always mentions, his service never ends with the closing of the house, and the relationship extends beyond and after the purchase of the house. Gary helped us successfully purchase a great house in Roswell. Since this was our first home purchase, we had many questions about finding the right home. In our first meeting, Gary walked us through the entire home-buying process and patiently answered all of our questions. He took time to understand our needs, likes, and dislikes. We immediately felt comfortable with him and relied heavily upon his advice and opinion throughout the home-buying process.
We looked at many houses before we put in our offer, but he was very patient and never forced us into making a hasty decision. In fact, he gave great advice as to what we should look for in a house and what we should avoid. My husband and I have submitted two letters to describe our experience with Gary from two different perspectives.
We were first-time home-buyers, and I was very nervous. I had heard plenty of horror stories about how stressful and frustrating the process of buying a house was. We talked to a few realtors who seemed OK but made us feel as though we were merely another sale for them. Then we discovered Gary, and I am so grateful we did.
He made me feel comfortable from the start, and the feeling grew throughout the process. He demonstrated both a genuine determination to help us get something we were truly happy with, and also expertise both as a realtor and a businessman. We knew that he took the seriousness of the decision and the amount of our money involved personally as if we were his own family. We were also confident that he would fight on our behalf to get the best possible price. He is an excellent negotiator as well as a wealth of information about houses and the real estate game. My wife is a flight attendant and is based in Atlanta. Since she is in Atlanta fifteen days out of every month, we decided to look into purchasing a home, where we could not only stay but use the additional rooms for other flight attendants who needed a place to stay. I was offered a job in Atlanta and was given 2 weeks to report. I accepted the job with the expectation of either sleeping in the car or driving 5 hours round trip each day (if Atlanta’s traffic agreed). Gary was recommended by a friend of my wife’s. I contacted him and told him I was not able to buy a house yet, and that could he recommend a rental agent. Gary offered to help personally. He asked for no compensation only that “IF” I was able to sell my home in Florida, and “IF” I was still working in Atlanta at that time—that I would allow him to be my agent. For me, that was an easy promise.
Gary made the process very easy. He sent me listings in my budget to review and kept me updated daily. We met in Atlanta, and he drove me around Atlanta looking at homes. As happens so often, it was late, and I was getting frustrated; I was prepared to give in to that long daily drive when Gary suggested “…one last one on the list.” And, that home was perfect.
I don't expect one to be naïve, Gary did get a “finder’s” fee. Which I happen to see “on purpose,” and I can assure everyone that it did not cover the gas used or the time and effort spent assisting me with the search--he even managed the leasing paperwork for me.
Gary did all of this based on the “promise” of a complete stranger (me). I can’t wait until I am in the market for a “new home.” If Gary worked this hard for “nothing” I can’t wait to see the results when actual compensation is involved. I highly recommend Gary to anyone buying a home in or relocating to the Atlanta area.

On top of that, we started our search in COVID times, when demand for houses was already high in the market and availability was limited. I moved to Atlanta in April 2018 at a time local housing market inventory was at a record low. To make it more complicated I had unconventional and unique requirements. For 4 months, Gary took me house after house at a moment's notice, each time patiently explaining everything, objectively pointing out the good and the bad. There are times I was overwhelmed by frustration, Gary's laid-back confidence and experience ultimately conveyed a sense of certainty when things looked grim and daunting. What sets Gary apart completely from all the others is his unwavering integrity and honesty. Gary will stand up for you even when his personal interest is at stake. When I had second thoughts on a house with a big price tag but could not make up my mind to pull the trigger, Gary realized the house is not my ideal and pulled the offer for me! Through the time working with Gary, I have grown to trust Gary completely, which is rare as I am a cynical person. The more I trusted Gary, the more effective we became a team. After six months of searching for a new house in our home city of Boston, my wife Sarah and I had just about given up hope. We were expecting our first child and had completely outgrown our apartment. Real estate in Boston meant either buying a hundred-year-old house in desperate need of a complete overhaul or a multi-million-dollar brownstone.
After some deep soul-searching Sarah and I decided to relocate to Atlanta to be closer to family and take advantage of the improved state of the school system from what we had available in Boston.
Gary Mesnick of Maximum One Realty was given to us as a referral from our relatives, and from start to finish he gave us the white glove treatment. We were 1,100 miles away from where we wanted to buy, but Gary treated us with the same attention to detail as if we were already neighbors. Using the online tools he made available to us we vetted hundreds of properties, sent him a list of 80 we wanted to walk through, and booked a weekend flight to Georgia.
When we arrived Gary had a complete itinerary laid out based on location and how we rated the houses from what we saw in the photos. My husband and I knew we had to act fast to get a great house in the busy April Atlanta real estate market. We reached out to Gary after another realtor was not making time for us. This is our second time working with Gary. Two years have passed since the first time we worked with Gary when we walked away with exactly what we needed with the payments we needed. He truly made us feel as though we were his only client. There was never any pressure to buy or move along. He wanted us to again find exactly what we wanted.
This is our 5th time buying a home. We have been through the drill before. We want this for "x" price. An Agent supplies us with a list and off we go to look. Pick one out, make an offer, and we are done. In essence, our previous Realtors were convenient suppliers of a list of homes for sale. Nice people with good intentions - BUT now that we have worked with Gary, we realize how truly lucky we were to have never bought a "money pit" or worse.
Gary asked more and better questions than, “How many bedrooms and baths?" or "How much do you want to spend?". During our first meeting, we realized quickly this man cares about our needs, our future plans, and our financial position.

Gary also made handling the ridiculous amount of paperwork seem easy. All our phone calls were immediately returned, and he was always very pleasant to talk to. Once we choose our home, Gary offered some excellent tips and advice on maintaining and handling things around the house. All in all, we would definitely recommend Gary to our friends and family.

A few months ago, I was referred to Gary as my buyer’s agent, and it was one of the luckiest days of my life. He is simply AMAZING and incredibly approachable. I honestly felt like he was treating me like his own nephew. Gary is experienced, patient, and knowledgeable, and he really wants you to LEARN when touring houses. For instance, within seconds, he could tell you what’s great and what’s not so great about a house, such as some subtle uneven flooring and potential flooding concern. I’m genuinely impressed. Strategically speaking, he walked me through each step of purchasing a house and patiently debriefed me after each offer that sellers didn’t accept. After a dozen of house visits and a few offers, I finally got myself a beautiful home! Today, I still text or call him when I have questions about some house maintenance. I can't recommend Gary highly enough. My fiancé and I engaged him in the sale of two homes and the purchase of a third in 2016. The service and attention to detail that he provides before, during, and after a sale is second-to-none. Buying or selling a home can be incredibly stressful, but Gary makes it less so. After our last purchase, he acted as a de facto general contractor; connecting us with top-notch vendors for the variety of projects needed to truly make the home "our" home. He seems to know someone for everything! You cannot go wrong with Gary.

Purchasing a home can be a daunting task for anyone, particularly for first-time buyers like us in an unfamiliar city. We had just moved from Michigan and were looking to find a home as soon as possible. We were lucky to have a good friend in the Greater Atlanta area who recommended Gary to us based on his impressive rating/reviews on Angie's list. This was after I had spoken to a few other realtors who were not as responsive as Gary. We got in touch with Gary and right away he arranged a meeting for us where he explained his approach to the home-buying process and how we would have his VIP client services. Gary was very understanding of our anxieties as first-time homebuyers and walked us through each step making the entire process very smooth & easy.
Gary ensured us that our preferences were first and foremost as part of the process. He let us drive the home search & selection stage and set us up for access to two very good resources (FMLS & Listing book website). This allowed us to search & browse multiple properties that fit our needs & preferences. We short-listed a number of homes each week over a 3-week period. And Gary would give us his time on weekdays as well as weekends from morning till evening until we had seen all the homes on our list. He was very considerate & courteous when we went to see homes taking breaks for lunch and also offering us water bottles on hot days. While seeing homes, Gary would give us time to form our opinion/rating of the house based on our needs and then share his valuable feedback & point out issues (if any) with the house. Gary also shared little tidbits of information about what goes into building a house, for example - types of hardwood floors, and sidings - all this was new information for us & very helpful to know. We finally decided on a house of our liking which was a new construction and closed on it prior to our deadline, thanks to Gary. Gary also made helpful recommendations for trusted lenders and we had a great experience working with one of them. He also shared his trusted vendor list from carpenters to insurance agents and everyone in between. When it came to communication, Gary is always there for his clients - whether it is a quick update call or to check up on things (even after moving into our new home!). Gary made sure that we were always posted on developments with reminders of the next appointment or item needed. As he has been in the industry for a number of years, he is an expert on the greater Atlanta area and does an excellent job of researching for comps when deciding on an offer price. Our friends (recent home-buyers) who met Gary on one of our home-viewing weekends were very impressed by Gary's industry expertise & how he worked.
At the end of the process, we were extremely glad that we had found Gary. He made us feel very comfortable throughout the process and by the end, he had also become a friend who we can rely on for any future advice as homeowners. After we moved into our home Gary gave us a quick call to check how everything was going and if we needed help with anything. Gary indeed works as a partner with your best interests at heart and not merely as an agent for whom you are just a case number. This way he made us feel as if we were the only clients he was working with - a truly VIP experience! When we decided to buy a home here in Georgia, First we started searching on different websites and reading different blogs, and sure we were so confused. Then a friend of ours referred Mr. Gary. We spoke with Gary over the phone and he arranged a meeting at Panera. He spend an hour explaining his background and educated us about the whole process of home buying. We asked a lot of questions about the home-buying process, issues, etc., He clarified for us so patiently and kindly. We were satisfied and selected Gary as our real estate agent. Once we decided to go with Gary, he set up an account in the Listing book, FMLS web sites which has all resources in one place to research about the house, its location, neighborhood, schools, etc. We reviewed the houses on those websites and shortlisted 5 to 7 houses to visit each time. Once we were shortlisted, we informed Gary about them. He promptly responded and scheduled visits as early as possible.
